Bradford MBA 連續多年上榜 Financial Times 全球百大 MBA , 2006 年更提升至全球第 65 大。

The School of Management has scored another resounding success in international rankings.

The School's Masters of Business Administration (MBA) has moved up 11 places in the Financial Times' MBA rankings for 2006, making it 65th in the world and 19th in Europe .

The School's MBA scored well in areas under career progress, with a ranking of 6 out of 100 for 'value for money' and with 92 per cent of its alumni finding employment within three months.

There was also success in areas of diversity, with a comparatively high percentage of women in the faculty (39 per cent) and figures showed 90 per cent of its MBA students came from overseas.

Professor Arthur Francis, Dean of Bradford University School of Management, said: "The MBA is still the gold standard in management education and I'm proud to say we've achieved another great success in the Financial Times' influential league tables. We have climbed up a significant number of places not just from last year, but also from 2004's tables.

"This year's rankings show that, in terms of value for money, we're sixth in the world. Combined with positive rankings for career progression and employment at three months, the table shows that it really does pay to do an MBA at Bradford ."

◎ Bradford MA --

The Bradford MA has been ranked no. 2 in the UK and no. 5 in Europe - according to figures published in the Financial Times today (12 September 2005).

The Financial Times' Masters in Management ranking is a new evaluation of masters programmes in general management from Europe 's premier business schools.

The Bradford MA in Management was one of only five schools from the UK to make it into the top 25 ranking, and came in 5th in the European ranking, behind the London School of Economics which came 4th.

Professor Arthur Francis, Dean of the School of Management , said: “This is an excellent achievement for us. The Financial Times' league tables are highly influential and to have been rated so highly is a great boost for our staff and our students.

"Our MBA programmes have appeared in nine of the last ten FT rankings and it is very pleasing that our MA programme appears in this inaugural ranking of pre-experience Masters programmes. All of the FT rankings are based largely on the employment and salary of graduates from the programmes three years after graduation. This most recent ranking has given our MA the highest possible ranking for jobs and employment three years after graduation. This is a success rate to be proud of.”

This new ranking by the Financial Times (FT) is intended to give a thorough assessment of this Masters qualification and an insight into the business schools and their alumni. As well as job success and salary it uses a number of other criteria which cover School diversity and research, and international experience.

The rankings were compiled with data from two sets of surveys – one completed by the business schools and the other completed by their alumni who graduated from the respective programmes three years ago (2002).
